This Art Deco apartment building and its lobby bar reflect the sophistication of the surrounding Gold Coast neighborhood. After 75 years, we’ve dusted it off, and have re-opened to the public as the original establishment, The Sparrow.

Originally designed to be an escape for residents looking for a nightcap or late night rendezvous, the barkeeps here have been privy to intimate dialogue, essentially becoming the building’s concierge.

A Sparrow is a social, beautiful, and intelligent bird, yes. But a true persona of the residents who nested above, outgoing, yet private, established in their profession and craft, always pondering the next move, while not moving much at all.

We welcome all and do not feel the need to flaunt.
